OUR MISSION
We are excited to announce the founding of the MaxSTAR Urban Arts Foundation (MUAF) a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization. Founded by R&B legend Maxine Jones, formerly of En Vogue, and business and community leader Brian Martin. MUAF’s mission is to provide arts education, food, equipment, and mentoring to school-aged youth of all ages in urban communities.
We will provide safe and fully inclusive learning environments that support the needs of Nevada’s school-age youth in music (vocal and instrument), film, stage performance, public speaking, choreography, responsible social media content production, amination, and audio and video engineering.
Our student centric hands-on learning in (person and virtual) programs are led by established industry leaders using the latest technology and equipment. Our programming developers are fully committed to supporting the growth and development of the students enrolled in the programs that MUAF provides.
The students participating in MUAF’s programs will also receive meals/food, scholarships, equipment, technology, and other essential support needs.
MUAF students will also receive essential training and, mentoring in financial literacy, legal basics.
Our new 2500 sq. ft. facility located adjacent to the Las Vegas Airport provides a safe and secure space to provide social distant learning environments for school-age children who are lacking access to the resources and support needed to achieve academic success in a remote learning environment while meeting the individual learning needs that the students have.
We closely monitor and are adherent to current CDC and state COVID-19 protocols.
Students who complete the MUAF learning programs will exit armed with the valuable hands-on experience, knowledge, and confidence that they will need to
begin building their career in the Arts.
Please help us help US!
Sincerely,
Maxine Jones and Brian Martin
